Does this sound familiar?

Feet are easy to put off, until they start limiting your day.

  • Trimming your own nails has become hard, or no longer feels safe.

  • Getting to a clinic means a whole afternoon, and a trip you'd rather not make.

  • Thick, ingrown, or fungal nails that nobody seems to properly deal with.

  • You worry about a parent's feet, but you live too far away to check.

If any of these ring true, you're exactly who we built Heelo for. Here's what a visit looks like.

Every visit includes

Everything your feet need, nothing they don't.

Your nurse takes their time. No rushing and no upselling, just attentive care from someone trained to spot what matters.

  • Nail trimming

Carefully shaped to relieve pressure points and keep walking comfortable.

  • Thick & fungal nails

Specialised trimming and thinning of thickened or fungal nails that are hard to manage at home.

  • Ingrown toenail care

Gentle relief for ingrown and curling nails, properly treated rather than just trimmed around.

  • Callus & corn care

Gentle reduction of hardened skin so walking feels easier.

  • Diabetic foot checks

A thorough look for early signs of trouble: neuropathy, ulcers, circulation changes.

  • Moisturising foot massage

Warm cream worked into tired feet. It feels as good as it sounds.

  • Footwear & sock guidance

Honest advice on what's helping, what's hurting, and what to swap.

  • A written summary for you

After each visit, a plain-language note so you and your family know exactly how your feet are doing.

Why it matters

Looking after feet is looking after independence.

Sore or neglected feet quietly change how a person moves. They walk less, they steady themselves less, and a small thing like a callus or an ingrown nail can become a fall or an infection. Regular, gentle care keeps that from happening.

  • Small problems caught early

A trained eye spots neuropathy, ulcers, and circulation changes while they are still easy to deal with, long before they hurt.

  • Steadier on your feet

Comfortable, well-cared-for feet mean steadier walking and a lower risk of the falls that quietly take away independence.

  • The family stays informed

After every visit you get a plain-language summary, so you and the people helping you always know how your feet are doing.

Our standard

Every nurse meets the same five standards.

We're growing a small, careful team, not a large, casual one. When you let someone into your home, you should know exactly who they are and how they got here.

  • Licensed, every one of them

Every nurse we bring on will hold an active nursing licence (RN or LPN) in good standing. We verify it before the first visit and make sure it stays current.

  • Background checked

A vulnerable-sector criminal record check is mandatory. We won't send anyone into your home without one.

  • Certified in advanced foot care

Beyond their nursing licence, our nurses are certified Advanced Foot Care Nurses (trained in diabetic assessment and safe nail technique) and members of the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses (CAFCN).

  • Sterile tools, every visit

Instruments are sterilised between clients, and single-use files and blades are opened in front of you. Hospital-grade infection control, in your living room.

  • Fully insured, on every visit

Professional liability insurance covers each appointment. You're protected, and so are they.

Meet your nurse

Hi, I'm Febbie, the foot-care nurse behind this.

As a nurse who specializes in foot care, I kept seeing the same thing: clients whose feet were quietly causing them pain, falls, and lost independence. People who simply couldn't get to a clinic to do something about it.

So I'm building a service that comes to you. A nurse who takes real time with you, not five rushed minutes. And a price that makes regular visits something you can actually keep up with.

More affordable, together

Available in select areas

Share a visit, share the cost.

Most of what a home visit costs is the travel to get there. So when neighbours, family, or a whole building book the same visit, that cost is split and everyone pays less. It's the same gentle care, at a price that's easier on a fixed income.

  • Gather a few people nearby

Neighbours on the same street, a couple of friends, or a whole seniors' building. Anyone close enough for the nurse to see in one trip.

  • Share one visit window

The nurse comes out once and sees everyone in turn. There's far less travel, and that saving comes straight off what each person pays.

  • Everyone still gets their own care

Private, unhurried, and on your own terms. Pooling changes the price, never the quality or the time spent with you.

Group pricing depends on enough people signing up near each other, so it isn't available everywhere yet. Once you're a member, you can start or join a group from your dashboard, and we'll let you know the moment it opens in your area.

An honest fit check

Is Heelo right for you?

A good fit if

  • You or a parent find foot care hard to manage at home.
  • You would rather be seen at home than travel to a clinic.
  • You want regular, preventive care, not a one-off appointment.
  • You help care for a parent and want to stay informed.

Not the right fit if

  • You need urgent or emergency care. Please call your doctor or 811.
  • You only want a one-time cosmetic pedicure.
  • You're outside the first cities we're opening in. Join the waitlist and we'll write when we reach you.

Common questions

Things people often ask.

  • Is this safe for someone with diabetes?
Yes, and especially valuable. Our nurses are trained in diabetic foot assessment and use sterile, single-use tools at every visit. We watch for the early warning signs you might miss at home.
  • How much does it cost?
Pricing varies by area (it depends on local rates and travel), so we set it once we know where you are. We'll share the exact price for your neighbourhood when we open there. Founding-member waitlist subscribers get 20% off their first month and 10% off the next two when they start a six-month subscription. No payment is required to join the waitlist.
  • Can I split the cost with neighbours or family?
In a growing number of areas, yes. Because most of a visit's cost is travel, neighbours, friends, or everyone in a building can book the same visit and each pay a lower group rate. Everyone still gets their own private, unhurried care. Group pricing depends on enough people signing up near each other, so it isn't available everywhere yet; once you're a member you can start or join a group from your dashboard, and we'll tell you when it opens near you.
  • Do I earn anything for staying or referring friends?
Yes, two ways. Every appointment earns points, and once you reach six completed visits your next one is half off; then the count starts again. And for every friend who subscribes after you refer them, we take $10 off your next visit, with no limit on how many you refer. Both are applied for you from your dashboard, with nothing to track yourself.
  • Can I claim this through my insurance?
Often, yes. Foot care from a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse is reimbursed by many extended-health benefit plans. We send an itemised receipt after every visit (with the nurse's licence details) so you can submit it to your insurer. Coverage varies by plan, so it's worth checking what yours includes.
  • Can I cancel any time?
You can pause or cancel from your dashboard whenever you like. No awkward phone call, no questions asked. The introductory discount on your first three months is tied to a six-month subscription; outside of that, you're free to leave any time.
  • Will the same nurse come every time?
That's the plan. Subscribers are paired with a regular nurse so you see a familiar face every visit. If your nurse is ever unavailable, we'll arrange a vetted replacement and tell you in advance.
  • Can my children or carer manage this on my behalf?
Absolutely. A family member or carer can be given access to your dashboard to book visits, see summaries, and handle payment. You stay in control of who sees what.
  • Where are you available?
We're launching across Canada, one community at a time. Tell us your city when you join the waitlist and we'll write to you the moment a nurse is available in your area.
